Spanish GCE A Level

All Greenhead's Modern Language courses are designed to enable you to learn more about the country and its people as you develop your reading, listening, speaking and writing skills to a high level.
Using the multi-media facilities you will learn how to use Spanish to express your opinions on Social, Political and Cultural topics, including Film and Drama. All students have individual weekly conversation sessions to develop their abilities.
We also offer A Level Spanish ab-initio - available to students who may not have previously studied GCSE Spanish. It is an intensive beginners course that requires six hours of study per week and equates to one full A Level. Students who would like to study this should apply for Spanish in the normal way and will be identified at interview.

Listening, Reading and Writing examination
The College gives priority to its 11 partner schools. Places are offered to other applicants on a competitive basis.
All prospective students must achieve a minimum of grade 4 or higher in GCSE English Language and GCSE Mathematics, and a minimum of grade 6 in three GCSE subjects.
Prospective Spanish students must achieve a minimum of grade 6 in GCSE Spanish.
Languages are seen as facilitating subjects for entry to any course at University and are a useful complementary skill for studies in science, engineering, medicine, history, etc.
Language graduates readily find employment across all sectors including banking, law, business and media as the course develops highly desirable transferable skills.
