It is unlikely that you will have studied Law before at GCSE. The AQA Law course is designed to remove any feelings of uncertainty and confusion that may arise from taking a new subject. However, your own experience, emphasis by the government on the need for people to learn about citizenship and the media's fascination with law-related stories means that this subject is relevant, interesting and popular.
Law plays a vital role in society. The law helps define a society's values and also provides a means to solve problems and disputes without resort to violence.
Law at Greenhead is taught in a well-resourced subject base, with its own Moodle site and support areas to assist your progress. Links have been forged with local universities, law enforcement agencies, legal professionals and courts.

This course is linear and will be examined at the end of two years' study.
The College gives priority to its 11 partner schools. Places are offered to other applicants on a competitive basis.
All prospective students must achieve a minimum of grade 4 in GCSE English Language and GCSE Mathematics, and a minimum of grade 6 in three GCSE subjects.
