Course Summary

The French A Level course is designed to enable you to learn more about the French speaking world, its people and cultures, as you develop your reading, listening, speaking and writing skills to a high level.

Using the multi-media facilities you will learn how to use French to express your opinions on Social, Political and Cultural topics, including Film and Drama. All students have individual weekly conversation sessions to develop their abilities.

Entry requirements

The College gives priority to its 11 partner schools. Places are offered to other applicants on a competitive basis.

All prospective students must achieve a minimum of grade 4 or higher in GCSE English Language and GCSE Mathematics, and a minimum of grade 6 in three GCSE subjects.

Prospective French students must achieve a minimum of grade 6 in GCSE French.
