Economics GCE A Level
Greenhead Road, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, HD1 4ES
This subject follows the new Edexcel (A) specification. It is a linear A Level course with three exams at the end of two years of study.
Economics is a lively and topical course with the central concern of explaining how governments, firms and individuals use resources.
You are presented with economic issues every day. Examples include: road congestion, NHS waiting lists, the destruction of tropical rain forests, the search for sources of energy for the future, the fluctuating value of the pound and technological advances leading to unemployment in certain sectors. The basic economic problem involves limited resources and unlimited wants for those scarce resources.
