What you will study 

Level 2

Two core units:

• Enterprise in the Business World

• Finance for Business

Plus One mandatory unit and eight optional units covering topics such as:

• Principles of marketing

• Promoting a brand

• Principles of customer service

• Recruitment and selection

• Business online

• Providing business support


How will it be delivered?

External examinations/assessment and internally assessed assignments.

Entry requirements

Level 2
4 GCSEs at 9-3 including English and Maths
OR
4 GCSEs at 9-3 and Level 2 Functional Skills in either English or Maths
OR
Level 1 Business with Level 1 Functional Skills in either English or Maths
 

Your next steps...

Further study 

On completion with the appropriate pass and English and maths grades, you can progress through the levels.
 
A range of higher education courses such as HNC/HND, foundation degrees, honours degrees in Management and Business offered by Wakefield College.
 
Alternatively, there are opportunities for Apprenticeships in areas such as Accounting and Business Administration.

Career Opportunities 

This study programme will provide opportunities for a wide range of business careers such as accounting technician, facilities officer, fundraiser, housing officer, insurance claims settler, legal secretary, paralegal or trainee legal executive, customer services officer or retail management.
